clients are also what speech therapists have, and i suppose what

most medical professionals and quasi-medical professionals have.

(except, i suspect, doctors.) social workers have them too.



i don't mind it at all--i find the term a bit empowering (as opposed

to _patient_). _client_ underscores the fact that i can take my

business elsewhere, should i be unhappy with the service i'm getting.

(and i'm anything but patient with medical professionals.)
