Subject: Re: Funny Names for Newspapers
When I worked at the Marion (Ind.) Chronicle-Tribune, we referred to our
competitor in Wabash, The Wabash Plain Dealer, as the "Grain Stealer." (Of
course, our own loyal readers sometimes called us the "Cornicle-Tribune.")
And, here in Franklin, served by the Johnson County Daily Journal, there are
those who change the last word to "Urinal," which is probably standard for
any paper with that name.
