Here in NC, the Raleigh paper, a very old and veneratable publication, is

called the News and Observer, but friends and enemies call it the News

and Disturber.



The Greensboro paper is the News and Record, which came about with the

merging of the morning and afternoon papers about ten or so years ago.

EVERYONE calls it the News and Fishrag.
