Of course, Halloween is Samhain, one of the four Celtic sacred days, so 'tis no surprise it did not survive in Spain. St. Patrick, of Ireland fame, was a Spanish Celt. But the Muslim invasion probably wiped Spanish Celtic customs even more thoroughly than did the Anglo-Saxon/Viking invasions of the British Isles.
