After a much-needed mini-vacation visiting friends and relatives in Baltimore, I'm back with the following question: does anyone have any informal observations about the use of "zero" vs. "o" in reading series of numbers? I think, from casual observation, that in more common series, i.e. area codes, etc., "o" is more likely. E.g., "seven-o-eight" for 708, even among speakers who use "zero" in less familiar number patterns, like phone numbers. Does this seem fitting to you (y'all)?
