I love you!" In the song, the Yiddish expression , "Nu?" is also used. The slang in the show is very much mixed up with New York Yiddish slang, not so much due to Ring Lardner, the author of the original Broadway gangster stories, but whoever adapted it for the stage- and I can't remember offhand who that was.
