For a modern dramatization of the Hell-Fire club that Bob Ness refers to,
see Tony Richardson's film version of Fielding's _Joseph Andrews_ (there's
nothing like it in the book, and I always thought Richardson was playing
fast and loose with his picture of the 18th century until Bob pointed out to
me years ago that,even if Richardson didn't get Fielding right, he
definitely got the dark side of the Enlightenment right).
