Earliest(1835) OED cite for G string refer to a violin or other stringed
instrument string: eg, the one for which Paganini wrote. Earliest OED
cite (1876)for G string as an item of apparel refer to the string around
the waist of from which a breech clout is aupported as worn by American
Indians
