What do you mean "today"? Isn't it "everday"? We have a four-year-old and a

five-and-a-half-year-old in the house!



Today I have to do the laundry. (That's the one I usually use.)



However, I can also say:



Today I have to do the wash. (I think that's what my mom would have said.

She was born 1908 in s.w. Wisconsin.)
