I've transferred sound files between .wav and .au with a program called

Goldwave that I found in an ftp archive somewhere. I just did an archie

search for it, however, and didn't turn up copies of it anywhere. That's

strange. I haven't done much ftp roaming lately and am not even sure what

the best sites are these days. Is wuarchive.wustl.edu still in business?

That was my main ftp site for a long time.
