One problem with such questions as "How would the English language be

different if the Confederacy had won?" is the problem of "What comes

after that?" If the US and the Confederacy live relatively peacefully

thereafter, that's one thing.



But what if, twenty years later, there's the Second War Between the

States? And twenty years after that, the Third War Between the

States?
