One of my students told me to pronounce Peru IN as ['piru]. Is that right?



Lima is, of course, so thoroughly [laym[AT SYMBOL GOES HERE]], that when I said [lim[AT SYMBOL GOES HERE]] Road

no one corrects me (when I say, rather) because no one connects [lim[AT SYMBOL GOES HERE]]

with [laym[AT SYMBOL GOES HERE]].
