No, no. Don't cancel the luncheon! I would vote for finding another
place to have it. I'd even go for $35, if necessary, but $50 is
silly. I believe there are many excellent restaurants in Manhattan
with reasonable prices. And some of them must have separate
rooms that people can book for an event. I'll ask my NY friends, if
that will help, and other people must know of places too.
