Labov does mention that positive anymore is strictly midland, and that northern

and southern dialect speakers respond with a "huh?!"



There are only two people of my acquaintance who regularly use the positive

anymore - one from Arkansas and one from Oklahoma. From this limited

sample, I would have assumed it to be more southern rather than midland.
