The list has been quiet today. Did anyone else see _Nova_ last night? The

show was called something like "In Search of Language." It was about

language families and language change. I enjoyed it immensely. My wife,

however, thought that it was a yawner, but we both enjoyed the interviews

with intense linguists with messy offices.
