That same year, Scandinavia or some part of it (Sweden?)

switched from driving on one side of the street to the other (I forget

whcih direction the move was in) -- that is an experience I do not

hope to have.

The year I was in France my students were telling lots of Belgian jokes.

One I remember: The Belgians decided they were going to imitate the British

and drive on the left side of the road. First they were going to have the

trucks do it, and if that worked, then the cars would do it too.
