According to the SHORTER OED (1993) 'candy bar' is N. Amer. for "a bar of

toffee or other sweet substance, a bar of chocolate"

Sounds like Heath Bara and Hershey Bars have the inside track. Like

Lynne, I have not been able to find it in a U.S. dictionary.



Does anyone remember Candy Barr?
