Ohio Valley here again,
Now that I reflect on it, it strikes me that the term "range" may
ivolve an appliance that has a flame that cooks food.
Or else "stove" refers to the oven itself. As in on the/over the
stove, which is the Campbell's soup pans I do.
"stove" and "range" have overlap but are in some ways distinct semantically.
