As Alfred Rosa and someone else noted, there's also the form /labits/
from "la pizza" with intervocalic voicing of initial /p/ and elision
of the final vowel. This form is familiar in S Philly as well. It's
prpobably S Italian influence. Chris Cieri at Penn would know all
about it, but that's all I can recall just now, except that I know of
no reason to think it came from New England rather than directlky from
S. Italy.
