Subject: Scamdicapper

At the beginning of every football season, Phil Mushnick of the New York

Post does an article about football "scamdicappers"--people who give the

lines (or "point spreads" or "handicaps") on games. If you call the

scamdicapper's telephone number at $5 or so a minute, you can get his

"winning picks." It usually is a "scam."

Today's (Friday's) New York Post Phil Mushnick column tells us about

this year's "scamdicappers." Mushnick must not read his own newspaper,

however--every Friday it provides at least two full pages on what games to

bet on.

Did Mushnick coin "scamdicapper"?
