Subject: Pronounciation of Oxymoron



I heard a newsclip on the radio of Marcia Clark (OJ trial) pronouncing Oxymoron

as AWK-sim-ar-ron. Until then I've always heard and used OX-ee-mor-on (kind of

like the first half of Oxygen followed by moron.).



Since my paperback Webster New World doesn't have it, can anyone tell me which

is the preferred?
