If the leader of the US is speaking to the leader of a non-English-speaking country, either one of them will have to use a language other than that of his or her country, or they'll have to use translators. Why shouldn't the United States elect a few multi-lingual leaders. And yes, I think English is a fine _primary_ language for the United States. But that doesn't mean it should be the only language we use: Spanish, Navaho, Cherokee, French (to pick a few examples from among our great wealth) are also good languages.
