It's just bugging me. My Brit husband has always used the phrase Gordon bennett! as an exclamation. He has no idea who Gordon Bennett was or if he existed. I recently discovered that there is a Gordon Bennett hot air balloon race in Europe. So, who was he and why is he an exclamation? TIA.
