This is a personal query, so there is no time limit for the answer. It's

just bugging me. My Brit husband has always used the phrase Gordon

bennett! as an exclamation. He has no idea who Gordon Bennett was or if

he existed. I recently discovered that there is a Gordon Bennett hot air

balloon race in Europe. So, who was he and why is he an exclamation? TIA.
