We were _cutting_ class. We also called it _ditching_. Administrators said we were _truant_. In some districts, _truancy_ officers went after repeat offenders. In Utah (then and now), students and administrators call it _sluffing_. A student may "get a sluff" if s/he is caught out of class. Outside of Utah, which states use sluff, sluffed, sluffing, or sluffs? Tom Uharriet utom[AT SYMBOL GOES HERE]admn.712.nebo.edu
