At the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, three linguistics courses count

toward general education requirements. Introduction to Language is a "standard

issue" introductory linguistics course which meets part of the humanities/fine

arts distribution requirement for general education. Language and Human

Conflict, a case-study course in sociolinguistics, meets part of the

University's minority culture studies requirement, which is included in general

education. Language: Power & Style is an interdisciplinary seminar in language

issues which meets the University's capstone senior seminar requirement.
